We Will Return to Office Despite Everything

We Will Return to Office Despite Everything

We Will Return to Office Despite EverythingThe corona virus rapidly changed the way we work. We were faced with telecommuting as a new option. The question ‘Will offices be moved to homes?’ suddenly came up for everyone.

The survey we performed last May indicated that contrary to popular belief, the ratio of those who “want to telecommute continuously” remained at around 7 percent. 48.7 of the participants stated that they wish to work in the office. 43.9 percent wished to both work in the office and telecommute.

However, our opinions began to change since May.

When we asked our followers on Linkedin this February, we observed that while most of us had missed working in the office last year, this year the majority wanted to both telecommute and work in the office.

However, telecommuting also brings challenges. The time spent facing a monitor leads to feeling fatigue which then leads to stress. Also, the requirement to be on the computer and the unsuitability of home furniture for work leads to more neck and back pain.

We Will Return to Office Despite EverythingA survey by HBR (Harvard Business Review) showed that 55% of telecommuters felt that they could not balance their business and private lives. According to another survey, employees do not feel isolated athomeand need a professional space. This is why they want to return to the office.  According to a survey by Morgan Stanley, employees want to work in the office three days a week on average.

It seems that we will be returning to the office as life normalizes, but without overlooking the advantages of telecommuting :)

Stay healthy…
